Practical classes

Vocational schools provide theoretical as well as hands-on classes (vocational training). For example, in the field of cook-waiter, practical training takes place in the kitchen and a restaurant. The common pattern of training is one week of theoretical classes alternating with one week of practical classes. Before the start of school, schools inform students what equipment they need to procure for practical training (e.g., work clothes and shoes, tools, and other necessary equipment).
