Some schools run or provide accommodation for their students in dormitories (boarding schools). Dormitories are intended for high school students who live far away from the school and would otherwise have to commute. They are also available to those who need accommodation for other serious reasons. Dormitory facilities include study rooms with computers and internet access, lounges, club rooms, and games rooms. Accommodation is charged monthly. Some dormitories provide accommodation only from Monday to Friday, with students going home for the weekend, while others provide permanent accommodation except holidays. Students staying at boarding schools are under the supervision of dormitory staff.
