The Together in School web portal was created with technical and financial support from UNICEF in partnership with the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. It came into existence after the beginning of the war in Ukraine, which caused an unprecedented influx of Ukrainian refugee families with children of compulsory education age or children with incomplete high school studies. The purpose of the portal between August 2022 and October 2024 was to provide Ukrainian parents with practical information about the Czech education system in both languages.
Subsequently, it was extended thanks to the project entitled Information at Hand – Supporting the Adaptation of Families with Children in the Czech Republic, co-funded by the European Union, making the web portal accessible in five languages to parents of children with different mother tongues.
